INSTRUCTIONS

Heat the coconut oil in a frying pan on low heat, and add the maple syrup, coconut sugar, sea salt and maple syrup. Stir the ingredients together until they form a sticky, melted pool.

Turn the burner up a notch and add the almonds. Stir them around in the sticky mixture until the almonds are thoroughly coated.

Continue heating the almond mixture for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Keep an eye on the pan so the contents won’t burn. If they start to overheat, turn the burner down. The almonds will absorb the mixture and acquire a darker brown shade. They will also smell roasted, but sweet. Yum!

Add the sesame seeds and stir them in. By now, the almonds should be nice and sticky. Turn down the heat to low and continue frying for about 2 more minutes.

Remove the pan from your burner. Grease a cookie sheet with a bit of extra coconut oil and spread the almonds across the surface evenly, making sure they don’t overlap. Let them cool for about an hour, then scoop them up by the handful and devour! If you can’t wait that long, they also taste great hot.

This delectable, addictive snack won’t last very long. Two people can make quick work of it. The almonds’ robust but sweet flavor is so addictive! Be sure to cover them in a secure container so you can retain their freshness for as long as possible. They’re great for picnics, or television snacks, or whatever occasion suits your fancy.

We absolutely adore this treat, and feel confident you’ll love it, as well. Since it literally takes ten minutes to prepare, why not make yourself some more? After all, almonds are so healthy….enjoy!
