Here are some things that you can just dump into your Ninja Creami with no preparation! Things like premade vegan pudding, Orgain protein shakes, boxed silken tofu, and fruit powder and water! And we clear up just where exactly are the ‘freeze fill’ and ‘max fill’ lines on the Creami containers! And also just how hot the water for slushies should or shouldn’t be. Of course lots of places have their reviews of the Creami up, along with their – it has to be said, sometimes derivative, not to mention complicated – recipes. Not us! Remember, we’re lazy! Super-Easy Creamy Vegan Salad Dressing and Dip Using Shelf-Stable Boxed Soft Silken Tofu!

One of the coolest things about the shelf-stable, aseptic-boxed Mori-Nu organic silken tofu is how utterly versatile it is. Yet this unsung hero of the vegan world is often overlooked, passed by on store shelves for its water-packed, refrigerated cousins. Hopefully our easy creamy vegan salad dressing and dip recipe will change that! (By the way, the Mori-Nu organic silken tofu is considered ‘soft tofu’; it doesn’t say it anywhere on the box but that has been confirmed by Mori-nu. This is important to know as there is such a thing as firm silken tofu and even extra-firm silken tofu.)

Fabulous Bircher Muesli Recipe – the Original Healthy Overnight Oats Recipe That Doesn’t Have to be Overnight

Did you know that the healthy overnight oats recipe fad is based on the Bircher muesli recipe which is more than a century old? The whole overnight oats recipe fad seems to have exploded on the scene along with Covid, but back in the 1900 (that’s no typo) Dr. Max Bircher invented the original overnight oats recipe, and called it muesli. Prescribing it for his patients, Birchermüesli, named after the good doctor, or, simply, müesli, became a staple breakfast food; muesli is a derivation of “mus”, which basically translates to “mush”. Dr. Bircher’s muesli was made by – wait for it – soaking rolled oats, and adding some other yummy stuff to it. The original Bircher muesli recipe involved soaking the rolled oats in water overnight, and then mixing them with milk or cream, some nuts, some lemon juice, and then grating an entire fresh apple into the mixture, stirring and eating. The lemon juice was to keep the apple from browning. By the way, it doesn’t even have to soak overnight, in modern times that whole thing is more about the convenience (stick it in the fridge before you go to bed, it’s ready for you in the morning).
